Don Choe has over 20 years of experience in the research, design, and development of computer-based Navy, Joint Military, and Commercial communications systems. His satellite communication experience encompasses baseband to Radio Frequency (RF), and includes International Maritime Satellite (INMARSAT), Tactical Intelligence (TACINTEL II+), Challenge Athena III, Super High Frequency (SHF) SATCOM, Ultra High Frequency (UHF) SATCOM, UHF Follow-On (UFO) SATCOM, and the next generation Mobile User Objective System. His expertise enables him to calculate Link Budgets, define network protocols, research modulation schemes, define interface requirements, verify signal processing algorithms, and perform acceptance tests for various systems, including AN/FSQ-131 SATCOM Signal Analyzer (SSA), Interim Fleet SATCOM Spectrum Monitor (IFSM), AN/ARC-210 and AN/USC-61(V) DMR SATCOM. Mr. Choe also worked on shipboard systems (Commercial Banking Afloat project), installation of shore systems (Galaxy INMARSAT-C/GPS), and preparation of Engineering Change Proposals (Tacintel, SHF SATCOM, UHF SATCOM, INMARSAT).
